Rash that last!

We have been battling this rash forever it seems! For those who don't know we are a cloth diapering family, and love it. When using cloth you can't just put on any rash ointment, it can destroy your dipes. There are cloth diaper safe ointments and we are putting them to the test!!

CJ Butter, we heard so much about how wonderful you are. I think as a preventive your great but you didn't really seem to put a stop to this rash.

Burt's Bee, you seemed to keep this rash from getting worse but after a few days we didn't see much improvement. I did really like the smell.

Grandma El's, I was so bummed with your performance! I love your products. Just didn't seem to do the job. I did mix this with Earth Mama Angle Bottom Balm and saw some improvement!

I also mixed Burt's with Angle Bottom Balm and saw some improvement. So naturally, I started using Angle Bottom Balm solo and so far I have seen a huge improvement this morning! Hoping this works, I really don't want to do disposables and harsher creams. I will if I have to! Ugh, Lord let this rash go away!!!

Any moms out there have cloth safe rash creams that worked wonders? Let me know I would love to try them!

Grandma El's Diaper Rash Remedy & Prevention Product Review

There are so many mixed thoughts about Grandma El's some people love it and some people hate it. People claim it stains their cloth diapers, doesn't work, and causes build up in their cloth diapers.  Other claim it works miracles on rashes and they have no cloth diaper problems. Due to all of the mix claims about this Diaper Ointment I had to try it out myself.

I have to say I am overall pleased with Grandma El's.  It gets rid of any redness or irritation very quickly.  Within a few diaper changes my little man's bum was red free! Now Grandma El's claims to be fragrant free but there is some type of odor to it.  It's not horrible but its defiantly there.  Some people can't stand it but I personal didn't mind it.

While testing the ointment, I visited their website and checked out the ingredients.  The main active ingredients are for the most part great. It contains vitamin E, Balsam of Peru (healing agent), Salicylic Acid (Willow bark and Wintergreen and encourages new skin growth), Yellow Petrolatum and Insecticide -free Anhydrous Lanolin (healing agent).

I would recommend this product but if you are a cloth diaper user you may want to use a liner.  Grandma El's does claim to be cloth diaper safe but it does contain Yellow Petrolatum and Insecticide-free Anhydrous Lanolin. These ingredients repel liquid, creating a barrier from wetness (Great for baby's booty!). They can build up in cloth diapers and create absorptancy issues with your diapers. Many people use Grandma El's with no problems but I just wanted to put a fair warning for all you cloth diaper users. If you use disposables you don't have to worry about this and I think you will love this product.
